Since the methodist chapel in Oldbury closed in 2016 St Arilda's is now the only place of Christian worship in the village and members of other denominations regularly worship with us. Some items from the methodist chapel are now in St Arilda's, at the front of the South trancept.

In November 2009 the congregations of St Arilda's, St Mary's Shepperdine and the Methodist Chapel, together with Roman Catholics who live in the village, signed a covenant with the wording:

As fellow Christians we commit ourselves as members of the Christian community in Oldbury on Severn to work, witness and pray together while remaining faithful to the discipline and heritage of our different traditions.
